GODSPEED (2021)
Godspeed is mijn eerste publicatie in samenwerking met vrienden en schijvers Jean-Michel Mabruki Mussa en Dennis Reitsma. Godspeed beschrijft en verbeeldt de waarde van vriendschap, openheid en kwetsbaarheid bij het verwerken van neerslachtigheid, angst en trauma. Godspeed is ontstaan toen wij alle drie individueel een traject doorliepen bij de psycholoog, en hier bij elkaar steun in vonden. Hoewel ieder met andere redenen bij de psycholoog liep, was de uiting daarvan overlappend. Godspeed is dan ook een aanmoediging tot openheid, kwetsbaarheid, en de bespreekbaarheid van mentale gezondheid onder vrienden, iets wat alles behalve voor zich spreekt, maar van enorm belang is.
Godspeed: My first publication in collaboration with friends and writers Jean-Michel Mabruki Mussa and Dennis Reitsma, in which Jean-Michel writes in English and Dennis in Dutch. Godspeed describes and depicts the value of friendship, openness and vulnerability in dealing with depression, fear and trauma. Godspeed was created when all three of us individually went through a process with the psychologist, and found mutual support in this. Although each went to the psychologist for different reasons, their expression overlapped. Godspeed is therefore an encouragement to openness, vulnerability, and the negotiability of mental health among friends, something that is anything but self-explanatory, but of enormous importance.
